Our lives are holy. Every day, ordinary, routine moments are sacred. Lent orients us to this deep and abiding truth. Dust lingers on every surface of our lives, every relationship, every conversation, every errand, and every life stage. I believe this is why Jesus told stories and parables, seeking to highlight and raise our awareness of God's presence found in every moment.

This Lenten season we turn to some of the parables that Jesus told so we might come to recognize the sacred in the ordinary.
